Inside the small Ontario studio where Liakos pieces begin.

From sketches pinned to the wall to leather on the machine, this is the space where each design is slowly shaped, tested, stitched, and brought to life by hand.

A Special Gift

My sister gave me the map in my studio as a way to track where Liakos pieces have gone. Each pin represents a bag in a new place, and I look at it every morning as a quiet reminder of what I’m building. Watching the pins slowly move farther across the map is a pretty cool feeling.

My Machine and I

My industrial sewing machine and I are slowly learning to get along.

She has moods, I have determination, and somewhere between the tension adjustments, test scraps, and tiny victories, we’ve reached a mutual understanding: I’m not giving up.

This is where each Liakos piece begins to become real — one stitch at a time.
